Saying Hello

Dear Readers,

Some of you may have seen the email that the team sent out asking for volunteers. I've always believed that being part of a community also means giving something back, so I didn't hesitate to apply for the role of blog co-ordinator. I mean how could I not? the WDA is fresh, energetic and going places. They are exactly what the divination community needs right now.

Now that I've had a week or so to get to grips with the system and the job role, I thought it might be a nice time to say hello. So that's what I shall do. For those that don't know me, my name is Tara Sanchez and I've been reading cards for about 20 years now. I work professionally on the Tarot apps, I speak regularly at conferences in both Europe and the United States and I've been known to author a book or two. As someone who is a long term blogger, has a background in IT and is madly passionate about divination in all its forms I was fairly uniquely placed to take over this position and I am so very excited to be able to do so, so thanks to Toni and the team for having me.

Along with our regular firm favourites from the WDA team such as pick a card, in the coming months I am hoping to introduce other features including interviews with established readers, authors and teachers, and also I'm hoping we can entice some of our well known faces in our social media groups to tell us more about who they are and what they do and .........drumroll...... please don't forget we accept articles too! If you have thoughts, ideas and spreads why not share them here with us and the WDA family? Just head on over to the blog via this LINK and click the submit button. I promise I will read everything you send, your words and input are valued.

Finally I thought I would draw a card to guide me on this new role and I got The Devil. I know I can hear you all gasping now, but I was using the Crowley/Harris Thoth deck which is a favourite of mine and I just can't quite get behind being scared by the Goat, him and his cheeky face just don't scream codependency and addiction to me like it can do in the Waite Smith decks. It didn't to Crowley either who saw the Devil as the ultimate creative force. So along with that earthy, methodical, get the job done attitude of Capricorn that comes along with card XV I think we can safely say, I'm going to be busy, busy, busy and I'm going to have to plan the heck out of things, but it's going to be very fulfilling.

Sounds Perfect, I can't wait.
